Shark bites teenager at Neptune Beach
A teenager was bitten on the leg by a shark Sunday afternoon in the ocean offshore of Lemon Street in Neptune Beach. The 13-year-old boy was taken by ambulance to UF Health Jacksonville following the incident about 3:30 p.m., Neptune Beach Mayor Harriet Pruette told the Times-Union. Pruette said the teen had been in about 3 feet of water when bitten. Jacksonville police were searching for two men following a double shooting early Sunday that left a woman dead and a man wounded at a Shell gas station in the 3000 block of North Main Street.
