A 6-year-old boy drowned after falling into a retention pond Sunday night in the Lackawanna neighborhood of Jacksonville. The youngster had been playing at the edge of the pond with his 8-year-old brother when the accident occurred shortly before 6 p.m. in the 3600 block of Nolan Street, said Sgt.
