    JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Hundreds of people gathered in Downtown Jacksonville on Monday to honor the life and legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.   The slain civil rights leader would have been 87 years old last Friday. Monday marks the 30th anniversary of the Martin Luther King  Jr. federal holiday.   The 36th annual MLK Holiday Grand Parade and Celebration kicked off around 10 a.m. at EverBank Field.     Firefighters battled a blaze Monday afternoon at the Preserve At Cedar River apartment complex at 4301 Confederate Point Road on JacksonvilleĆ¢€™s Westside, according to the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department. Firefighters were called out at about 1:30 p.m. to the blaze, which was called under control at about 1:45 p.m., according to fire officials.
