    Jacksonville police arrested a man following the abduction at gunpoint of a mother and her 1-year-old child late Saturday that ended when he crashed the woman’s car on railroad tracks as police chased him on the Westside. The 20-year-old woman and child appeared uninjured but were taken to St. Vincent’s Medical Center for evaluation, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.     A motorcyclist died following a crash Saturday night at Beach Boulevard and Cortez Road, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said. The victim was found lying next to the motorcycle about 11:45 p.m. It appeared the motorcycle had been eastbound on Beach Boulevard when it hit a silver vehicle turning south onto Cortez Road from westbound Beach, the Sheriff’s Office said. Police released no other information about the crash that closed the eastbound lanes of Beach Boulevard until shortly after 2 a.m..
